About Graphic Design...

It is awkward when someone suddenly turns to you and asks something that you know worth billions of money, and something that you know everyone knows it, except for the person who just asked you about the matter. The following dialogues below was recorded under a very conscious, and healthy conversation. Well of course, i did put some jokes to make it more interesting.

Q: " Dude, what is a Graphic Design?"

A: " Are you kidding me? You did not know that term for real?"

Q: " Nope, the girls in the class just now always talk about how cool to be a part of a Graphic Design department, and you mister, are the one from the department. Just tell me what is it?"

A: " Well, to be honest, i am quiet surprised to know that you did not know anything about it. Well, to make it simple, Graphic Design is a creative process to convey message through the usage of lines, shapes, values, textures, colors, images, and of course the fonts. You can see them all around you, look at those banners, those billboards, the wallpapers, the posters, and even the brochure you were holding right now. These are the examples of the results made through the usage of creative process or Graphic Design.

Q: "Big deals, but what happened if the graphic design did not exist at all? People can still live without those eye-catchy things. Is it matters anyway?"

A: "Is it matters? Well, my friend. If i were you, i would regret questioning the existence of these people, and i simply could not stand to watch the whole world dying from emptiness. Someone should have the responsibility to alter it creatively. THAT IS WHAT GRAPHIC DESIGN IS ALL ABOUT!"

Q: "Well i couldn't see the rational on why we the commoners should pay you hundred bucks just to do something that simple. It is just a design, everyone can do it, don't you think?"

A: "I found that punching your face repeatedly would be the most lovely of this conversation after hearing those imbecile questions. Okay, we the designers actually do not even have times for ourselves. We designed things for everyone on every occasions. On Christmas, on New Year's Eve, on Aidilfitri, we put our holiday aside just to make everyone's happy. Just imagine if we were not there for you, who would be the one to decorate things for you? Okay, you said it was easy, just do it yourself, then why are you standing here? Go make some designs so that i can see it. Look pal, designing is not about being pretty, is about the passionate, the sacrifices, the tears, the happiness, and everything that you could even think of. Designing something graphically is a job for a monster. Hope you don't ask any of those stupid question once again."

Q: "Okay then...eerr, what is the Graphic Design again?"
A: " ........................."

Meanwhile in a local news TV channel.

Male newscaster: This just in, a person was beaten to death in the head and was found under an abandoned bridge, without a single fabric on his body.

LOL, I WAS JUST KIDDING GUYS...
The thing is, I just want to tell you that the Graphic Design is a tough thing to do, and do not wailing on something you know least.

Till later guys. More upcoming post will be constantly related to Graphic Design after this. :D

Fresh New Start, Again.

GREEETING PEOPLE OF EARTH! How are you doing?

It's been forever since my last update on this blog! What's that? Yeah, i know, being lazy is hard to kill, but nevertheless, i need to change right? Well, at least for the sake of a better future.

Okay, let's talk about something that least important for now. (since all i need is to warm up after hibernating from blogging from a very long period)

What just happen to me for the past a year? Why did i stop writing?

Well, the easiest way to put it; i am extremely in such an unstable situation which forced me to stop on blogging and keep on living as usual without putting any effort on the writing. Well, to be honest, i am completely disappointed of my decision to neglect this lovely blog. From now on, i try my best to constantly update any news related to the technology.

Why must technology? Well Peter, can't you see around ya? Everyone is talking about phones, tablets, operating systems, and even gadgets that we barely even able to spell it! That is why i decided to go for a technology-oriented blogging since i am very, very interested in the mainstream technology. People need to know what happen to the devices, what is happening to the Nokia, Samsung and even RIM. Did you anything about RIM? No? Well, it is the company who build the famous Blackberry phones, it is a short for Research In Motion, the RIM. See? You need to learn more, and it is my job to disclose anything that i know about the technology itself. Read the blog description next time before proceeding into questioning me on that. :D

Well, i think i am good to go! Thanks for following me guys, i am sure to write more and more! See ya!

Xperia Play versus iPhone and NGP?

From the way we're seeing the current issues regarding the smartphone competitions nowadays, to those who may concerns, it is obvious that the latest rivalry may be erupted between the newly upcoming Sony Ericsson's phone, the Xperia Play, and the one we may recognized as the world most ultimate smartphone so far, the iPhone. The official winner will be announced sooner the Xperia Play hits the store approximately next month (March 2011), but of course, we may yet to predict which one is better.

Xperia Play VS iPhone

Based on Sony Ericsson's UK Marketing Manager David Hilton, he stated that due to the few special reasons, the Sony Ericsson is firmly back on the track of smartphones games, "It puts our smartphones out there with the latest Android technology, the benefits of that coupled with the best of Sony technology that make using a Sony Ericsson much more satisfying, much more enjoyable and frankly much more cool than using an iPhone.", he added.

In another debatable point, he stressed that Xperia Play may not only concern by the looks and fabulous integrated technology in term of specification, but also through the pricing tagged on the mobile device. For now, there is no telling about the actual price yet, but Hilton did reveal some hints about it, saying that it will cost "the same or probably a little bit less" than the iPhone's. Of course, the winner will be determined by the technology AND the price relevance. Hence, if Xperia managed to come up with a lower better price, than it is obvious to see whose gonna be the one to burst out the champagne on the stage.

But hey, this is not the only main topic to be discussed here, since there will be another competitor that capable of challenging the Xperia Play; it is its own distant brother, the Next Generation Portable alias PSP2!

Xperia Play VS Next Generation Portable (NGP)

"If someone wants the ultimate gaming machine and is prepared to wait until later in 2011, then the NGP might be for them - but they would have to carry another smartphone and many people don't want to do that.", so David Hilton pointed out that way.

Some of the community said that the way Sony introduced both of the gaming devices at a nearly the same time, it might lead to the condition where the customers might be confused on which one to pick, since they are from the same company, with possibly within nearly the same specifications! Well, to give credits on which one should be purchased, it is a very hard job to be done, but within a few measurements we'll be discussing now, the customers will hopefully eventually find out the right one to have the rights to be in their pockets.

The customers will be given options of priority; first phase, are you more into the casual or hardcore gaming experience? If you chose to be the casual ones, then the Xperia Play will be the good thing for you. It comes with great specifications and features, including motion and gesture-based gaming features, and yeah, it should be enough to power up the 3D games. The released 50 titles for the phone aren't sound bad at all, especially the well-known Assassin's Creed, Battlefield, and Dead Space franchises. Of course, you can't expect the graphic to surpass the NGP, since the handheld portable will be using a different engine and features, but it is satisfying enough for a casual gamer. For more details on the Xperia Play, click HERE.

But if you're about to gain the hardcore gaming experiences, then NGP is definitely the right thing for you! Why? Because it comes with tremendous special features and capabilities, where from that point, you can pleasantly choose which pleasured you the most. For instance, you may choose to play the games with the d-Pad, or simply using the touch screen or track pad on the back of the device. For specific info about the NGP, click HERE.

Second phase, the price. If you got bunches of dollars in the wallet, then you will face no problem, go for both of them! But, if you're losing money, i'm suggesting you to wait for the NGP, since the price may seems to be a little bit higher than the former PSP and shouldn't be expecting to exceed the price of an iPhone. And, if you're ready to go for dollars, then pick the Xperia, since we have already known from Hilton's statement; the price might exceed or less than the iPhone. (in other word, it will stays costy)

To conclude these, we just have to wait for them to show up, and sooner the elimination of options will be taking the places. :D

iControlPad the savior

Sick of getting your fingers blocking your view on the iPhone screen? Settle down, the savior is here. With the new iControlPad, you can leave the touch screen controls a goodbye kiss. Guess someone just did something upon hearing the complaints regarding how sucks an iPhone could be without the d-pad system. :D

What is that thing anyway? It is a gamepad adaptor for iPhone exclusively, and priced approximately $75 (converted to Malaysian Ringgit, it will be RM228.34) . The adapter will comes with a digital d-pad, two analog nubs, six front buttons and two rear buttons. Please take a note, this is for iPhone only, sorekara, if you are planning to put this into your Blackberry phone, think twice.

So what do you think? Are you buying? Well, just for your reference, i just put various comments from Gizmodo regarding this release. Happy reading. :)

I really think Apple should release this kind of thing officially for the iPhone. You have the main phone doing just as it always has, which is great, but then you have the option to expand it's control with an official controller add-on that all developers can support in their control schemes for their games.I don't see how that could hurt any, unless Apple thinks it undermines the phone somehow that they even have to offer an extra control option, but I really just think it would be good...Like people having to buy arm straps so they can carry their phone in a useful way when jogging for example. - iNCEPTIONAL

The only thing the Playstation phone has that the ICP doesn't is touch analog sticks. Which kinda defeats the purpose of putting buttons on the thing. The ICP has actual sticks. - Jason Dupree

Not all emulators work.No shoulder buttons. The thing is HUGE.Why should anybody buy this? - Gary Blake

The clamshell would limit the devices without it having a heavily engineered design. This is a design that allows for simple modifications by anybody and the most flexible device coverage rather than just a few phones with certain dimensions. At worst this is a expensive bluetooth gaming controller. At best, any future phone upgrades you have this will work with.- Noisome

Holy crap, this is expensive - Eric Arrache Goncalves

Aaaaw it's only $75. Not an arm or leg or anything SMH - Robhatesbuttons

This looks like some old Nintendo from 20 years ago. I think I'll just wait for the Android/PSP hybrid thingie.- Chris Connor

How cool would it be if you could (on a jailbroken phone) define geometrical spaces on the screen where the virtual controls for a particular game were present and then have button presses simulate a touch to that area? This wouldn't solve the problem completely since it would require jailbreaking but at least developers would not have to build in support for the device. Not sure how feasible it is.... - bensashi

"we're told not all games and emulators will work with the thing"
This is important. Game pads are not part of mobile device design, support will have to be added by each developer of each game... this is the same problem the xperia is going to have. I would love to see a list of game that WILL work with this for any and all platforms, I suspect it will be very very tiny... love the concept but they need to do some serious promotion with developers to make it actually DO something when you connect it up...- ima747

For the size and price I could just use one of the Nyko mini Wii remotes with my Droid. It's cheaper, and I know that the 3 major emulators I play will work with it. - MaxwellMudd

oh, this is gonna be awesome! - Spine

Either thats a bad picture of it or that device is really overpriced. - Gregory Pierce

Yup, looks like a $2 China gadget. That said, for $10 I'd buy one... hell, even $40 would be okay, because the battery can be used to charge the phone (great for extended gaming sessions). But with shipping to Germany they're like $100, so... no. :( - Simon Broenner

Looks like it costs about $4 to make. - Xephrey

The Misfortunate of Mine

Okay, it took almost half of a day travel to reach Shah Alam from Kota Bharu, and yes, it's been a very, very cold night, with the air-conditioner being switched,i dont know, maybe to the max? I WAS shivering to death, man! I just cant help myself getting jealous seeing the girl that sat next to me covering herself in a blanket, gosh, i wish i could be in the blanket too! (hey, dont get the wrong idea :D )

Arrived approximately at 6.30 am in the Shah Alam's basu noriba (bus station), i met these seniors, which i considered as the arrogants (except for one or two of them), i shook their hands, successfully made some hypocrite smiles, and off  i queued up to do my subuh prayer at a nearby surau. I dont get it, the radius of the place is ridiculously small, just merely able to fit 4 persons at a time, why cant anybody do something to make the place bigger? This is so wrong, supposedly, the admins should be considering this even more, unless they just dont give a damn about how much people actually do their prayers.

The Commercial Center

Finished with that, i made my way to the cabs, looking for  a ride to the commercial center (my residential place). After couple of minutes passed, an uncle just showed up, offering a ride into the campus. Since it just takes a few minutes to reach the campus from the commercial center, i raised my hand and asked him, "Bang, pergi ke seksyen 7 tak?" (Do you take the road to the 7th section?), and how disappointing, he just simply... ignored me? WTF, cant you speak a word? I'm a customer here, duh? You cant just make yourself speechless when it comes to a customer, asking for your service? I left the moron uncle and looked for another reliable drivers.

Luckily, i met one. Together with two girls, happened to have the same direction, we took off to the commercial center. The cab charged us every RM3 for the first 1km, and add-on 10 cent for every 15 meters onward, i always thought that the charging meter reacted ONLY if the cab moved, and how disappointing again, when the cab stopped at a red light, the meter didnt stop AT ALL. Is this some kind of cheating? You just charged us for an immobilized cab!

I reached the commercial center at 7.40am, and paid that guy RM6, although the actual charge was RM5.70. Fucking cheater. I paid him, but i wish the God will punish him with something. Yeah, i didnt complain. I realized that. Taking few steps to the house, another misfortunate stroke me,again! Those housemate guys just locked the grill door with a padlock, which i didnt have any key for it! WHAT THE FUCK? What on earth is happening to me? I yelled, cursed, and punched a nearby wall. I just pissed! I'm the earliest house member to arrive, and i cant grant any access to the door! Who on their right mind wouldnt blast any anger?

So here i am, taking my breakfast at a nearby fast food restaurant, typing these, waiting for those fuckers to open the gate, or the only solution i could think of so far, pay another RM30 for the padlock eliminator. Hell to the no.

Is it wrong to use English?

I looked through all of my friends' blogs; they seems very creative in terms of designing the headers, the sidebars, the entry boards, almost everything. Some of them got what it really takes to have numbers of interesting and useful topics, but some of them just cant stand a chance. This is based on how much followers i saw for respective account at a time. And yes, they used the native language of Malaysia, the bahasa melayu.

I dont know where should i put this, but through the creative usage of native language, some of them got almost a thousand followers, just by posting some irrelevant entries and seemly ridiculous based on my perception, leaving me to ask myself a question; is the factor of using foreign language affects people's interest of reading and following, especially for the Malay people?

"Is it wrong to use English?", i kept asking myself, and failed to stop thinking about it. The only reason for me to use English as the primary language is just to be fair with everyone. I got followers from many major regions of the world, including the ones from the United States, India, New Zealand, and Indonesia. Hence, if i happened to use bahasa melayu to describe a very interesting entertainment release, or gossips, or games feed, does it seems to be a little bit unfair to those who cant understand the native language in the first place? Personally, i think everybody deserves to understand what exactly is going on.

Is it difficult to understand my words? Are you having problems in replying proper comment? Are you sick of reading English-based text? These are the questions that i merely got the right answers. People are not responding to most entry i made for the last 7 days. I do not mean to boast myself, but i think i got the rights to receive any constructive comment upon entries that i found interesting and latest. It's not like i'm currently using a Cambridge English standard, plus my English phrases are at worst!

I bet nobody's gonna answer at these either.
Sorry for posting a rubbish entry, just happened to write this due to the frustration of seeing such poor feedback from you guys. My full throttled enthusiasm of blogging nearly comes to a halt right now.

*You may post your comment in both English and Malay, or pick any as you pleased. If you wish not to comment, just leave.

Gaga wishes for exotic scent!

The "artificial bitchy artist" is being weird again, and this time, she plans to step into the shoes of perfume industry, wishing to release an exotic perfume or rather being called, the scent of blood and semen, which brought me into saying inappropriate things like, "she's fucking kidding, right?"

Guys? Does semen refers to some sort of perfume in the dictionary? And if we minus the horny couple, who's in their right mind, will gonna love such a bullshit like that? Although it is not a direct sourced rumors, instead coming from her selected perfumers, claiming the artist asked her to make such perfume, i really cant tolerate that as just a rumor, nothing more.

Our kids are tend to follow the trend, especially from the TV ads. Just imagine if the perfume idea was real, dont you think it's a little bit of annoying to smell others' semen in your dining room air? Will the new semen perfume conditioning making your food smells desirable? Do you think your daughter tells you that with the new perfume, she make her room smells like semen just to cover her boyfriend actual semen on the floor corners? Think of it. These might happens.

Somebody's gonna stop Gaga from achieving such an inconvenience desire. What is wrong with the most expensive perfume in the world? Or she just lost the functionality of nose, misinterpreting the semen scent as something that comes straight from heaven itself? I seriously cant help to get it right.

*But hey, i just figured the only bright side of the perfume; making your girl easier to laid. :)

iPhone vs PSP + DS + Other gaming consoles?

Portable gaming has been steadily making some room for new players with the rise of iOS, Android, and other mobile platforms. In response to this trend, Capcom intends to make their presence felt on those devices, adding that gamers have already abandoned the handhelds.

According to Capcom Interactive president and COO, Midoori Yuasa, more and more gamers are leaving the PC, DS, and PSP to go play on a device like the iPhone. “The casual gamer that used to play on the PC and the hardcore gamer that used to play on a dedicated gaming portable now plays on their smartphone” she told MCV.

“The iPhone and larger smartphone markets are extremely important to Capcom as, like no device before, smartphone have the potential to become a universal game platform," she added. “We have a lot of stuff on the horizon for both hardcore and casual gamers, so 2011 is shaping up to be huge on Capcom’s mobile front.” - credit to QJ.net

Okay, first thing first, i want to mention about the games developed for the marvelous iPhones, mostly, they ARE suck. Dude, okay, dont get me wrong already, i just want to state some logical reasons here, so be calm, not need to curse me yet, i am about to make things interesting.

What is the major difference between the iPhones and the portable gaming consoles? If you answer something similar to me, then i really can call you a hardcore gamer. Yeah, it is the gameplay that changes the whole scenario of the games themselves, the way you navigate your character, the way you control the brake, and the way you aiming your shotgun to the zombies. This might sounds ridiculous, but does the new touchscreen system really give you to true perception of gaming satisfaction? If you were about to say yes to this, then i could really call you an ex-hardcore gamer.

Touchscreen and d-pad, are two entirely different things. The touchscreen, a recent development of electronic visual display,is a system which allows your finger to easily navigate through things in the phone, making tasking a lot more easier to be done. While d-pad is short for directional buttons, which is used as a medium between the fingers and the application, to communicate and transferring data. Unlike the touchscreen, the d-pad appearance is much more classical AKA old and less exciting than the new touchscreen based system. But, when it comes to gaming, it is inevitable to admit, that d-pad worth the trophy. No matter how you say, the touchscreen just cant give you the right feeling or precise measure to completely control your subject matters. The thing that sucks the most is, the feeling that you cant entirely master your character! I've played some of the game on iPhone 4, yeah, it is really fun to stick your finger around and observe the reactions, but it is hard, really hard for me to make my character moves according to my own instinct. It's just didnt feel right.

As i mentioned earlier, gaming navigation from a finger touch is fun, but for how long? The first time you use it, you will found it fun, but trust me more, in months, or even weeks, you will found the bore. Unlike the d-pad, for a common hardcore gamer, it never get bores. Just for example, from the ancient Playstation One to the latest PSP Go, has anyone complains about how bore the consoles were,to be played through d-pads? I found that hard to google. This is a serious factor, nobody's gonna complain if the navigation system does give something straight from the gamer himself.

These are the comments based on the same topic from QJ.net:

"PC, DS, and PSP to go play on a device like the iPhone."
Yeah right that will happen... Never!
Why the hell would I go over my console collection to iPhone?
I got NES, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, etc. Which is much better than touchscreen gaming.
I did play on an iPhone once, but it's nothing like the real thing. - PS360 Owner1

The cell phone is FAR from acceptable to become a suitable gaming platform. Capcom has really been sniffing too many Sharpies to be making this statement. The public has far from abandoned the portable consoles, in fact, it's becoming more and more pronounced that we need a portable console market. It's not so much people are swaying towards the phones, it's just that (unlike portable consoles) new phones come out every couple months!! We only see a new console every 5 or 6 years, possibly longer! It's no shock why people go crazy for iPhone 4s or EVOs or whatnot while they don't gloat about their PSP or their DS. They're old. We need stronger focus on creating an affordable portable market with qualities and features the public wants. F*ck the easy money-making, that's what's killing the industry (reading $ony?). We want some expansive and user-controlled, not some stock piece of crap limited to what the developers decide on. Hell, the PSP wouldn't really be around or respected the way it is right now if it was never cracked open years ago. And don't say it's the library either, as vast as it is, there are only a handful of gems worth paying for. - Zenshu

True, PSP has a lot more to offer. Iphone is just a joke. F'king capcom, that means no new Street Fighter on PSP for sure now. - Jerrywest

Ahem... According to the community on this site, I can positively state that, out of the 10 people commenting, 0/10 said that the iPhone is a greater gaming machine than the DS & PSP, while 10/10 said that the iPhone has less than half the worthwhile games of the handheld bunch. (Smart-ass mode off)
Honestly, i don't know where Capcom is getting their information, but they probably need to find a NEW source.
3DS will take off, and Capcom will just see for themselves how much SF4 sells. -
Total911

The most simplest question for the hardcore out  there; iPhone or gaming consoles? You decide.
Best of luck, Mr.Steve Job.

Damn,they are hot!

I've done my research on the blogger templates. Man, i am sooo not used to it. I've been away like 3 years already, and yes, i do not expect to know something better, and gain some improvement, being a narrow minded and sarcastic idiot for years was not a good idea, leading to the action of not updating the bloggy thingy whatsoever. I cant even remember on how to add a chatbox!

The way i see it, there are loads of bloggers who happened to use fancy headers even though the contents do not reflect anything good. But the followers are at craziest rate. What the hell? Just what exactly do the followers really like on following such rubbish contents? Do they agree on certain points that making stupid jokes on the titles through blogs can increase the traffic rate? I hardly cant tell that either. Yeah, jokes are fine, but overrated jokes?

So due to these facts, i am planning to further the study of "How to Increase Your Traffic Rate" through the University of Life (hey, this is a joke, used to be,indeed),will be doing research via my old internet best friend, Google, to seek for the truth and precise ways of persuading people to at least right click my link. So guys, i need your lectures, your knowledges. I'm currently at the highest peak of Loserville right now. Save me!

Okay, enough now. I better get going. Later.

The Clown

The local greatest horror movie so far?

Khurafat's Trailer

Okay now, just arrived from the nearest cinema, watched a local, breathtaking horror movie.

The story begins with Johan, a young lad who works as a medical assistant in a government hospital. He married to a girl named Aisyah. For the initial part of the story, the couple live in peace & happiness, uninterrupted, but unexpected hit implicate the story when his ex,coming back to claim a past relationship, leading to the impact of the 'mysterious disorder' is going way crazier than usual, which brings to the catastrophe ruins to his family.

So now, here's my rating, Khurafat, 4 out of 5! Holy mother!
The overall rating based on the cliche meter of the movie, from the beginning to the end of the story. Pretty much excited with the way they introduce the ghost for the very first time, the cliche parts mostly dominate the entire footage, but it doesnt necessarily means it sucks, great ghostly approaches cover the thriller parts. Great job!

The truth is,not everybody in the house likes what have the movie achieved so far, especially when it comes to the director's factor. I can see that a lot of people do not like this young, talented i might suggest, bravery local director, Mr. Syamsul, and on what occasion do i said he's a one bravery person? Well, it's very RARE to see the local horror filming industries to produce such a great film with a continuous and non-stop thrilling parts, with the mergence of various horror factors, mixed up together to form a new way of experiencing horror film. Believe me, in order to achieve these, you gotta have a lot of guts to spend the money on the management. It is about taking a great risk.

The greatest thing is, the storytelling tried to give viewers some various--and i mean it-- self-perceptions upon the story line before proceeding to the next scenes, and literally making it a very kickass horror AND thriller movie. Yeah, mostly you can tell whenever the ghost will come out, but thats aside of the story, and the positions of emergence are cliche too, indeed, i hate cliche.

Dude, i can tell ya, i'm licking no butts, but this movie is awesome, and deserved to be honored as the greatest horror movie so far. Well, that's for my personal view at least. Since this is my first comment upon the greatest local horror movie so far, i can guarantee that more movies using the same themes will be enrolled pretty soon.

Although some of my friends questioned the make up and appearance of the ghost, but do i give a damn? I havent seen any problem regarding the dress code. It still looks great, and pretty well made. Congratulation for the make up artists. :D

Support more locals,guys.

The Clown

A wedding crasher-in-waiting

Okay, here's a biatch, trying to poison my girl's mind over something that wasnt even there. The biatch, told her that i'm having an affair with someone, which i considered as an incomparable bullshit in the first place. Why did i write this you asked? Well, duh, dummy, of course i am writing this because i AM pissed!

I dont even go out from the front door for more than 5 hours, hanging out with the laptop for almost 24 hours, scrolling over and write comments on the facebook statuses, and she thought that i'm having affair already? I was pissed really bad the first time to know there was SOMEONE,who happened to get jealous or whatever upon our beloved relationship, and tried to crash it as soon as she could.

Hey,i aint blaming my girl for being the one to buy those bulls, i more of accusing the jerk one. Hey, if you were reading, i am officially laying a middle finger on your forehead in miles away. Stay out of trouble, unless you asked for it.
Get a life, get real.
